Event Liability Insurance

GT recommends TULIP for event liability insurance.  TULIP is a Liability Insurance Policy that provides special event liability coverage. It is designed for third party users who do not carry liability insurance and is offered at a low cost.  Visit the TULIP website and click on the Calendar icon under “Get  A Quote”.

Event Emergency Medical Services (EMS)

EMS ranges from a professional on foot (EMT) to a two-person team with an ambulance. An EMT is required at any event that has the potential for participant injury or harm (i.e., races, relays, events involving rides or inflatables, extreme outdoor events, etc.) or one at which 250 or more guests are in attendance. To review services, rates, and request service, visit the EMS website.

Outside Organizations/Parties

An organization/party that is NOT an official GT sub-unit (this includes student organizations) that is sponsoring an event, must present the GT venue manager with a Certificate of Insurance that meets the following minimum requirements no later than seven (7) days prior to the event (certain venue license agreements or events may require additional coverage and/or higher limits):

$ 3,000,000 in general liability coverage for each occurrence with a $ 3,000,000 general aggregate limit; and the Certificate of Insurance must note that the Board of Regents, Georgia Institute of Technology, including its officers, agents and employees are additional insureds.
