The Institute has been notified by the State Accounting Office and the University System of Georgia of an increase in the Per Diem allowance within the State of Georgia, effective February 1, 2022.  

All cities in Georgia now have a standard per diem allowance of $50 per day. Travelers traveling overnight within the State of Georgia are eligible for a $50 daily per diem allowance to cover the cost of breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The $50 per diem allowance has been updated in Workday to reflect the increase for travel occurring in the State of Georgia from February 1, 2022. The Georgia Tech travel policy will also be updated to reflect this change.
